Oneness of God

Deuteronomy 6:4  Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

There is one God. Not three, not four, not two. Jesus is the one true God with all power!

There is not a God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

There is God the father, the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost (which is God's spirit).

For you see God is a Spirit. (John 4:24) And he was manifested or clearly seen in the flesh. (1 Timothy 3:16). And that spirit that was dwelling in Christ can also dwell in us. (Romans 8:11)

The flesh was not God, God was not born of a woman, the flesh was. But God sent forth his son made of a woman, that son was flesh, that son was the express image of an invisible God.

For there to be more than one God in the new testament would contradict the old testament, therefore it would violate the word of God. But that is not the case. Truth is:

There is only ONE GOD, and his name is JESUS!

Isaiah 43:11 lets us know that besides him there is no Savior. And Matthew 1:23 lets us know that Jesus Christ was God with us! For you see it was God (the eternal, all knowing spirit) in Christ (the man, the flesh) reconciling the world back unto himself. (2 Corinthians 5:19)

You see that's why Jesus was able to say that he had come in his father's name, and that the Holy Ghost would be sent in his name. There is only one saving name, and the enemy knows that, and doesn't want you to believe in the name. Nor does he want you to be baptized in that name, for the devil knows that in that name is the remission of sins by the blood of Jesus Christ.

You see before the foundation of the world the Lord knew he would need a lamb without blemish. (Revelation 13:8) And he created man in the image which he knew he would take on it order to redeem man. (Genesis 1:26-28) God created us in his image, the same image he would take on to redeem us. This plan was in the mind of God in the very beginning (John 1:1) and was manifested in Christ (John 1:14). So this is why God needed a body, but that body was flesh. And the spirit that dwelt in that body was God, all the fullness of the Godhead (notice it didn't say part of the godhead or one third of the godhead, it said all of the Godhead dwelt in him, Colossians 2:9)  Truly it was God in Christ as the Bible lets us know.

You see the Bible only preaches and teaches one God. Here are just a few more scriptures to let you know there is only one God, no explanation of the word needed:

James 2:19  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Jude 1:25  To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and evermore. Amen.
(If there is another God he is neither wise nor our Saviour, there is but one all knowing and saving God!)

John 10:30  I and my Father are one.

Ephesians 4:4  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Ephesians 4:5  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Ephesians 4:6  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Revelation 1:8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

1John 5:7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

1 Corinthians 12:13  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

There is only one God, and one saving name: That name is JESUS. This is why baptizing in the titles of the father, son, and holy ghost will not save anyone. It takes the name. And that name is JESUS! He said baptize in the name, and said remission was in that name, then opened their understanding. We must have understanding that the name is Jesus and we must be baptized in that name!

Coming soon: blog on remission and baptism in the name!
