Destiny Created


Determining your Destiny
“Our determination determines our destiny.”
“Our decisions determines our destiny.”

Elimelech and Naomi had traveled to the land of Moab during famine, their two sons married Moabite women which for a moment gives Naomi hope in her horrible conditions. Elimelech was now dead, and ten years afterward his two sons die. Naomi is left childless and a widow, so are Orpah and Ruth the two Moabite women who married Naomi's two sons. Naomi hears that the famine in Israel is over and decides to return since she has no kindred in Moab.

Ruth 1:6-18
You must remember Ruth is a nobody in today's terms, many would look at her that way. And being from Moab her nor Orpah should expect to receive any charity from Israel. Ruth had no bright future, as many would never have without the Holy Ghost and the church, but she clave to Naomi and God. Our faithfulness and dependability determine our true love. Orpah kissed and wept, but Ruth clave (joined, stuck together).

Make up in your mind to serve God; broken homes, divorced parents, no matter your background your decisions and determination (your choices and your attitude) determine your destiny. First generation or 5th generation Pentecostal, your background and atmosphere does not always determine your destiny. Your choices and attitude does.

Prefect atmosphere, wrong attitude and choices
Judas- prefect atmosphere, one of the 12. Demas- Prefect situation with Paul.
Devil- prefect situation, sinned when there was no devil. Jeroboam- prefect situation.

Neither had the prefect attitude! 
Not so prefect atmosphere, but right choices and attitude
Moses- born in a time of death for infants, lived and chose to follow God.
David- least among his brethren chosen because he had a heart after God.
Abraham- called out of a idol worshiper's home to follow the true God.
Paul- persecuted the church, God changed him.

Your determination and choices determine your destiny, not your current circumstances.

As widows do Ruth went to glean in Boaz's field who was kin to Naomi.

Ruth 2:11-12, Ruth 4:13-15.

Boaz
Rahab, the harlot, made a decision to house spies sent to spy out Jericho. One of those spies was Salmon, and God spared Rahab and her family. She made a decision that changed her destiny, who before was a nobody. She had a child with that spy named Salmon, his name was Boaz. See destiny being created by attitude and choices.
So Ruth crosses paths with another person who came from a nobody that God made into a somebody. And from Ruth and Boaz came a son named Obed and from him came Jesse and from Jesse came King David. Wow the creation of a destiny by determination and decisions to serve God.

Matthew 1:5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

The Lineage of Jesus, what destiny! 

God only knows what destines can be created! We got to make the decision, a made up mind. We can have everything going for us.

The Truth About Grace

So there are those that say Grace alone saves us? Let's see what the Bible says:

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.

So IF grace alone saves us then all men will be saved, because clearly the grace of God has appeared unto all men. 

Let's consider this next verse from the same Bible:

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way, wh
ich leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it.

verse 23....I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

So clearly from the Bible all men will not be saved. So either the Bible contradicts itself, are the statement that grace alone saves us is wrong. I am going to stick with the Bible over the traditions of men, and say the Bible is always right. The grace of God has appeared unto all men and gave them opportunity but unless we let God work in our lives we will be lost.

Grace + nothing does not and never will equal salvation.

But rather grace brings us opportunity to obtain salvation by the word of God.

Grace +Faith+ Obedience= Salvation

We want to be like the wise man who later on in chapter 7 of Matthew heard the sayings of Jesus and did them. God showed us his grace by what he did and then giving us a preacher to preach to us his word, so we could mix it with faith and obey the scriptures. And when we obey he gives us his spirit.(Acts 5:32)

God's grace appeared unto Noah (Genesis 6:22), but Noah then had to listen to God's voice and build a ark. God has given us a plan, his word, and his grace (divine influence) is working on our hearts asking us just to listen and obey his voice just like Noah did. And when Noah listened in faith, he was saved from destruction.

Titus 2:12 goes on to say "(grace) Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world...

So grace teaches us, that's what God is trying to do by his word. Teaches us how to please him, and that's by being obedient.

Never take tradition, or what you have always heard or thought, over the word of God. The word is always truth, and truth is the only thing we need.

It is easy to not compromise when you LOVE the TRUTH!


Matthew 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?


Politically correct? No. Sympathy toward sin? No. Jesus did not seem to sympathize with hypocrites and sinners one bit. He had compassion on everyone, he had love for everyone, but he did not allow sin to go without being dealt with.

You see it everywhere today, sympathy for wrong doing and justification for wrong actions. Everywhere from news media to “churches”, from schools to jobs folks are having to deal with good being spoken evil of, all the whiles evil is being promoted. Media attention goes to Hollywood filled with homosexuality and all uncleanliness, idols are made out of people that are far from role model material. Many children can tell the latest on television shows but not quote one scripture. Tolerance is being screamed from the Left all while not giving any tolerance to the beliefs of others. As in the news recently with Chick-fil-a, standing for the morals you believe in can get you in a heap of hot water in today's society. We are living in dangerous times, filled with sympathy for sin and intolerance for Christian beliefs.

So the media is not favorable toward those that want to live right, neither is the government in many circumstances. So we must stand together for what is right. Preachers can not become sympathizers toward evil, saints cannot begin to welcome sin into their homes. True preachers are going to be like Jesus, who faced opposition but never quit preaching the truth. The world's only hope is in truth, so in compassion we must continue to preach what the world needs to hear. Preach to me preacher, no one else is going to in the world we live where everything seems to go in their eyes.

Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Jesus saw the one thing this man lacked, and instead of just sympathizing with him he let him know. The man could then make a decision either to listen and live, are not and face eternal damnation. Thank God that today there are still those that love people just like Jesus loved this man, loving them enough to tell them what they lack. No beating around the bush, no sympathy toward sin, no politically correctness, just a straightforward answer to the problem. Thats what truth does, truth is just right. When you preach truth, you are never in doubt you know what is right and wrong according to God. Thank God for my pastor that always preaches the truth in love, thank God for the knowledge of the truth so I can always preach the truth in love. You can have confidence in truth.

So while the world is wishy-washy in what they believe and compromise about everything the church just keeps right on going with confidence because we know in whom we have believed, and we are persuaded. Do not be a sympathize, get persuaded of truth!  

It is easy to not compromise when you LOVE the TRUTH!

Strive According to God

2 Timothy 2:5  And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

For the last few days the Olympic games have been taking place in London. And competing in those games are athletes that have given their entire life, and every ounce of their efforts to make it there to compete. But in order for them to be successful they must compete while staying within the rules and regulations  else the games would be nothing more than chaos.


  • 100m ran in the wrong direction, or in the wrong lane, no matter how fast, will not win. 
  • A javelin thrown the wrong direction, no matter how far, will not count. 
  • A swimmer who does not compete with the proper stroke for the current event, will lose. 
In football there is an out of bounds. There are yard lines, there is a play clock and a game clock. There are rules and a set time, why? So there will not be chaos, and there will be a functioning game. 
  • The throw maybe the longest and most spiraling, but if it is caught out of bounds it is in vain.
  • The kick may be the longest in history, but if it does not go between the goal post there are no points.
  • May have the best team, but penalties can derail the win. 
In baseball there are rules. Three strikes you are out, three outs and the inning is over. After nine innings if you have fewer points you lose the game. 
  • May be the longest hit ever, but it's no home run without being between the lines. 
  • The 4th swing may have sent it out of the park, but after three you where out. 
  • Your team may have been able to score 10 runs in the 10th, but there is no 10th unless you are tied. 
In everyday life, there are rules and there are regulations. There are things that the employee must abide by, there are rules the students must live by, there are rules that families must live by. And there are also rules we must live by if we plan to be saved. 
  • We can do good deeds, but if we are not born-again it is in vain. 
  • We can pay tithes, pray, fast, and read the Bible, but yet not be striving lawfully. 
  • We can be good people, and still be lost. 
  • We may sound good, and be a good speaker, but our efforts to win souls is in vain without the truth. 
So not only must we strive, but we must strive according to the word of God. And to begin to even strive for him we must be baptized in Jesus name living a repented life filled with the Holy Ghost. Then we must follow the word of God. It's not enough to fight, we must fight the good fight of faith.

Never Look Back

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Once we begin a new life, living for God, we must never begin to look back. Anything that God requires of us, any sacrifice, is well worth it. Why would we allow anything from our past to keep us from the riches in Christ Jesus. Our destination is far greater than anywhere we could go in this life, it's far greater than anything we could have or obtain in this world, it's far greater than any pleasurable moment we could enjoy here. Whatever the cost of being apart of the kingdom of God, it is well worth the price.

Never, ever look back. Keep going forward, because any man that looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God. Any one that would treasure the old man and the old lifestyle more than the their life being born again, is not fit for the kingdom of God. Any man that would rather have his old addictions and attitudes than the new mind he has obtained in the kingdom of God, is not fit for the kingdom of God. Any person that would rather have it their way and do whatever he or she likes rather than do the things which please God, is not fit for the kingdom of God. Anyone who would not what God's standards as their standards and would rather have everything the same as it was before they where born again, is not fit for the kingdom of God.

In Christ Jesus we are new creatures.
II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ (born-again), he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

And when the Holy Ghost is guiding us, it will guide us unto all truth. Hence it will not lead us backward to the life before, but rather into the area where our actions please God. Thats why we cannot even take the slightest look back at where we came from, it has nothing to offer us. We become new creatures, with new habits, and new behavior, why? Because we are born-again, and when we are truly born again it is easy for us to learn and adapt. When we are truly born again we will adhere to the Bible and desire the sincere milk of the word so we can grow. So if we reject the word then there is a problem, for when we truly are born again we are babes in Christ and are teachable. Those that are not teachable and not being led into all truth are those that are looking back, and are not fit for the kingdom of God. But those that really have gotten a new heart will be led by the Word of God, and will have no desire to look back.

So let's forget those things which are behind, sin is not something to brag about. And lets focus on the task before us, and that is making it all the way and helping as many as we can to do the same.

Precious

What we have is precious to us. We enjoy going to church, we can not get enough of God's presence. To us we can not see why anyone wouldn't want to know this precious gospel we believe, why would anyone not want to be a new creature in Christ Jesus? We love to sacrifice, and to pray and fast. Reading the Bible is an enjoyment to us, the scriptures speak so loud and clear in our lives. We set aside time to go to church and church events, and we plan our lives around the kingdom of God. We that live for God are those that are willing to lose friends and even family members approval for the gospel's sake, we are those not looking for popularity but rather to please God. The revelation of One God is the very foundation of our doctrine, along with a man must be born again. When the world is saying contrary, we still get excited when Acts 2:38 is preached, it never gets old. We are those that have no problem being set apart from this world in our dress, our appearance, our attitude, our behavior, and our overall lifestyle. We born again believers are those that want to hear good strong preaching that will save the soul, we know how precious our preacher is. Souls are precious to us, we love them enough to tell them the truth. Why are we this way? Because HE is precious to us!


1 Peter 2:7  Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
1 Peter 2:8  And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
1 Peter 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 
1 Peter 2:10  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

See why we love him so much, why we love truth so much, why we love worship so much, and why we love church so much? Its because he is PRECIOUS to us, because he brought us out of darkness into his marvelous light!

Don't Look For a Shortcut, The Old Paths Are the Original and Only Way!

A tombstone read: 
"Pause, stranger, when you pass me by,
For as you are, so once was I.
As I am now, so will you be.
Then prepare unto death, and follow me."

Pushing the grass aside a bit more, was found the following scratched on the stone, done with a crude instrument:

"To follow you I'm not content. Till I know which way you went."


Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait (narrow, one way) gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 



The message Bible says it like this: 



Matthew 7:13  "Don't look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don't fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do. 
Matthew 7:14  The way to life--to God!--is vigorous and requires total attention. 


It aint suppose to be easy! Living for God requires us to give him everything we have. 


As the book of Matthew let us know well there are many false prophets in the world that are attempting to use many gimmicks to try to turn the simple from the strait way, the only way, the way that is not always easy. We do not need a new formula, we still need the old paths of righteousness. A lot of 'new' formulas are being used by the enemy to deceive folks in to believing they are saved when in fact are they are on the road to destruction . 


It would be wise of us to follow the strait and narrow, to follow the way that few will travel. It may seem to be the less popular way, but don't consider the circumstances of the path as much as you consider the destination of the way. We may even have a life of afflictions, but if it ends with us hearing, "well done" it will be well worth whatever it took. Just ask the beggar, the rich man had a great natural life but that didn't mean he had a right relationship with God (Luke 16). Whatever it takes I want to commit myself unto his will and way! I'll obey the scriptures and let the world go by.

Dancing in the Blessed Rain!

Matthew 5:45  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Life isn't always fair; if you think it should be and ever will be then you have not lived long enough. Circumstances beyond our control, and sometimes even caused by our own actions happen to everyone. We cannot change that. Things happen to good people that we may never understand. But we cannot question God, he always has everything in control. Remember the Sunday school song, "He has the whole world in his hands," how true that is. When we live for God, we are blessed! You see it is true that it rains on us just like it does the unjust. What seems like 'bad' things happen to us just like it does to heathens that do not want anything to do with God. But you know what the difference is? Our rain is blessed rain! You see the thing the enemy intends to use to destroy is sometimes the very thing God uses to save us. See God always has the bigger picture in mind.

Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

See we get caught up in day to day life, and how our life is going. God is concerned about us as eternal beings. He wants us to be saved. God never intends to hurt us, only to make us better. You see when it rains on the unjust it destroys them, but when it rains on the righteous it just makes us drawer closer to him and stronger!


Matthew 7:24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Matthew 7:25  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Matthew 7:26  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Matthew 7:27  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

You see we can see the trails and circumstance of life from a different perspective when we are on the rock, I'm sure Noah saw the water differently while he was floating in the ark as the world drowned. God is always going make provision for his people. What other folks that don't have a walk with God would see as the end of the world, we can see as a blessing in disguise. What situations in life that would be a 'flood' of catastrophic proportions to people living for the temporal, is nothing more than just water for the rose that is blooming in our lives when we stay in the will of God.  You see the trails we face when living for God are only blessings in disguise.

Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Yes it rains on the just, but it's BLESSED rain. Working for us!

1 Corinthians 13:12  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Weeping only last for the night, joy always comes in the morning! Dance in the rain, it is blessed!

To: My beautiful wife

Proverbs 31:29  Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 

Often with my blogging I don't get to take out time to say much about my beautiful wife, but today I want to take out time to say a few good things about my wife that I love dearly. My wife, she is a diamond for sure. I know every man believes they have the greatest wife, well I know I do. We are quickly approaching one year of marriage, and it has been superb. I'm not one much for words, but honor is due to whom it is due.  Yes I am going to brag on her for a minute, nothing wrong with that. She is beautiful, smart, funny, and God fearing. She works very hard. As hard and as much as I will let her. Every time I am mowing a yard or doing any other job, I can't leave the lawnmower or tools setting for any length of time without her taking them and helping. Often doing a better job than I do. And the list goes on for the many duties she does at home, all without complaint. All while carrying our son, just a few more months! And even more important than working hard, she listens. Even when listening to me makes her be misunderstood, she never refuses to be a good obedient wife. Even when we make major decisions and discuss things together, she always respects my final word. Any decision we make in our household I give answer for. She follows my lead as she is suppose to. She always supports my ministry, and she understands that is what our entire lives will always revolve around. That is and always will be the most important thing to us. And you simply can't ask for a more blessed life than that. Even when feeling so much pressure and life, things hard to be understood, she may bend but never breaks. Always willing to sacrifice and give up what she may "want" for what we know we need. She believes in me. Behind the scenes, where life is really lived,  she does so much while never asking for any credit. She loves the word of God, we have quote downs together. Her Bible looks like a coloring book, from all the marks and notes and highlighted sections. Most of which she marked while searching the Bible for the truth. It fell apart finally, so I gave her a new Bible. She is a living example of "search the scriptures for...these are they that testify of me."And searching the scriptures since a little girl, did just what it should do, led her to Jesus name baptism and the infilling of the Holy Ghost, and even facing great opposition from family and others she clung to truth. So much more could be said, but one thing is certain, if you love truth enough you"ll fight for it.  She follows the teaching of the Bible and the church without murmur and complaint. She prays, never can you go wrong praying. That's one thing we love to do together is praying and studying the Bible, families that pray together stay together.  We have had a lot of obstacles moved in our lives by trying just what Jesus said, "prayer and fasting." God has blessed her with an awesome voice and great musical ability, she can make any instrument with strings sing. We love to make a "joyful" noise unto the Lord all the time. And she loves being faithful to God, and faithful to church. Her calmness, helps me stay calm. So reserved and quiet, in every situation. I could write pages, but I'll stop short. She truly is a great help meet, and that ain't brag,that's fact. I just wanted to take a minute tonight to let my wife know how much I appreciate and love her.  Hopefully you read this Sister Caudle, if you do, don't get angry at me for bragging on you, I just wanted you to know how much of a difference you make. Love you. 

Proverbs 31:30  Favour (charm) is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. 
Proverbs 31:31  Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Compromise Saves No One: But Truth Can Save the World!

Proverbs 23:23  Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

We must be able to make judgement calls in our lives. We must have the word of God in our hearts so that we can discern between good and evil.

Hebrews 5:14  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. 

We are not trying to condemn anybody when we proclaim the truth, but only trying to help the world know what is right and what is wrong in the eyes of God. And the answer is found in the Bible, which Jesus said would be the very thing we are judged by. So if we want to be saved we are going to have to accept what the Bible says we must do and what it says we must not do. Truth is not optional. We do not hate sinners when we preach against sin, we show love in proclaiming the truth which can save them from sin.

John 18:37  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Example: Jesus (God in flesh, and remember God is love) who showed true love toward us stood against sin and made it clear if we do not repent then we perish. Jesus said if you want to be saved you must be baptized. Jesus said if you want to enter into his kingdom (the only everlasting kingdom) then you must be born-again. Jesus called certain people hypocrites and generation of vipers. Paul (the writer that wrote 1 Cor.13 about love) also wrote under the inspiration of God that people living certain sinful lifestyles could not enter into the kingdom of God. John whom wrote so much about love, wrote under the inspiration of God that any man that took or added to the Bible should be cursed. All these men loved, all these cared for people, all these wanted to see souls saved. All these where willing to die for there cause. But all these also stood for the truth at all cost, for they understood that only truth could heal and save PEOPLE.

Matthew 1:21  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 

If we love people we have no choice but to preach truth, and stand against sin that looks to destroy the people God loves. So don't hate us for saying repent, we are just doing what God said do. Don't hate us for saying be baptized in Jesus name and for believing in one God, we are just proclaiming the Bible. Don't hate us for preaching the Holy Ghost with others tongues, Jesus did the same thing. Don't hate us for preaching against sin, it isn't because we hate sinners. Its because we hate sin.

Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We have no choice if we want to be saved,  but to love truth and hate lies. I want to see the whole world be saved, but the only thing that can save them is truth.

John 17:17...thy word is truth.

Only truth will set us free!

 I want to see every homosexual be delivered and set free, but compromising truth is not going to do that. I want to see every liar change their direction, but only truth will do that. I don't hate you, I love you that's why I try to tell you what is truth from the word of God because that's the only way to be saved. So don't hate me either for just believing the Bible to be the word of God, and for trying to love you in the same way Jesus does.


Psalms 119:103  How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psalms 119:104  Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

On a final note:
Revelation 3:19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

So if we are going to believe in God then we must believe in his word, and his word lets us know that  in love he reaches out to change our direction. So don't tarry, just repent and live for God.

Just a tid-bit for tonight:


God can see your heart, but men can not. Men only know about you by what you say, what you wear, what you do, where you go, whom you are around. Get the picture? What is in your heart can only be a light to the world when it shows in your lifestyle. Ye are the light of the world...so remember men can not see your heart, but they can tell the condition of your heart by your actions. So quit trying to use for an excuse that 'God knows my heart', because yes he does but that doesn't justify sin and ungodliness. If we are going to be saved it is going to be God's way, not our way! With Him it's Possible!

Genesis 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

God created the heaven and the earth. We must have faith in this first scripture of the Bible, if not we cannot have faith in the rest.

Hebrews 11:3  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

And without faith it is impossible to please God. And knowing that God created everything should give us even more confidence that he is able to do anything. We don't have any problem too big for our God, we don't have any situation that is beyond his help.

If God could speak and create Heaven and Earth, I know he could speak and change any circumstance and heal anybody.


Matthew 8:5  And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Matthew 8:6  And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Matthew 8:7  And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Matthew 8:8  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

This centurion understood that all Jesus had to do was speak the word, he knew the authority of that word would heal his servant.

Matthew 8:13  And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. 


He received his miracle, because he believed that he was able to speak the word and heal. And that's just what Jesus did for him. 


Hebrews 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

He is a rewarder to those that seek him, because they are the ones with faith, just like that centurion. If God can speak the heaven and earth in to existence then all I need is for him to speak in to my life, for the miraculous to happen. 

It may seem IMPOSSIBLE, but with HIM, it becomes HIMPOSSIBLE! 

Matthew 19:26  But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

His Seed is Blessed!

Proverbs 10:3  The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish:

God will never let those that follow him suffer from hunger. As long as we hear the voice of God and obey it, he will supply us food both naturally and spiritually. My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory. Be sure that as long as you stay faithful to God you will never lack for your needs, he has a way of supplying. When the whole world shuns you, and looks down on you, remember as long as God is for you that's all that really matters. He:


  • Supplied the children of Israel with food and water after their exodus from Egypt. 
  • Fed the prophet by a woman with only a little food remaining, then supplied for the obedient woman.
  • Fed five thousand not counting women and children when they followed him and heard him teach.
I am sure he can always supply for me and you. God is not affected by the economy, never has been and never will be. He is not affected by what I lack, rather he can help make up for it. I'm just convinced that the word of God is true. I've seen time after time in my own life that God has took nothing and made it into something, but that only happens when we are faithful. 

Matthew 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 

It just works. When we are faithful, work hard, and are good stewards then everything works. You see often where we go wrong is in our own responsibilities, that is that we must be faithful and be wise stewards. To seek first the kingdom of God we must first be born again of water and spirit then we must be faithful with our time, our fiances,  and our entire lives. Then God blesses us, and then once again it is up to us how we handle those blessings. You'd be surprised what you can do with so little with God as your guide. See we don't:

  • Need new clothes every few weeks, and shopping trips constantly
  • Need the finest restaurants every other day
  • Need trips here and there constantly 
  • Need a lot of things that we think we do need. 
God never promised us our wants, but he did promise our needs to be met (to the faithful). But what happens when God supplies what we need for our needs, yet we turn around and use it for all our wants. Is God then at fault for us not having our needs? Not at all!  This is why we must be good and wise stewards, because we don't know what tomorrow holds. 

Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 

So just remember even in these uncertain times as they are for everyone that God will never leave us nor forsake us. As long as we do all we can, and obey him no matter what, we will be OK! 

Psalms 78:19  Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? 

Let's never question God, cause we know he can. The question is CAN I DO WHAT I MUST DO? 
The question isn't, "Will the faithful be blessed?" Rather the question is "Will we be faithful?"
BECAUSE THE FAITHFUL WILL ALWAYS BE BLESSED!

God is good!

Psalms 86:5  For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

He is a good God! Its that simple. Sometimes we should just praise him for how good he is. He is so good that:


  • He gave us a chance for a new life
  • Gave us a chance to live forever
  • Shed his blood so we could have remission
  • Allowed us to live
  • Speaking for myself, he has healed my body, he took stripes (while in the flesh) for that
I'm talking about a GOOD GOD! He aint ever done me nothing, nothing but good! 

Baptized in his name, filled with his spirit, and given a church and pastor to exhort, reprove, and help me. Allowed me into the ministry, so unworthy, my hope come true. Allowed me out of billions in the world to know truth and obey it! He is sooooo goooood!

Oneness of God

Deuteronomy 6:4  Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

There is one God. Not three, not four, not two. Jesus is the one true God with all power!

There is not a God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

There is God the father, the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost (which is God's spirit).

For you see God is a Spirit. (John 4:24) And he was manifested or clearly seen in the flesh. (1 Timothy 3:16). And that spirit that was dwelling in Christ can also dwell in us. (Romans 8:11)

The flesh was not God, God was not born of a woman, the flesh was. But God sent forth his son made of a woman, that son was flesh, that son was the express image of an invisible God.

For there to be more than one God in the new testament would contradict the old testament, therefore it would violate the word of God. But that is not the case. Truth is:

There is only ONE GOD, and his name is JESUS!

Isaiah 43:11 lets us know that besides him there is no Savior. And Matthew 1:23 lets us know that Jesus Christ was God with us! For you see it was God (the eternal, all knowing spirit) in Christ (the man, the flesh) reconciling the world back unto himself. (2 Corinthians 5:19)

You see that's why Jesus was able to say that he had come in his father's name, and that the Holy Ghost would be sent in his name. There is only one saving name, and the enemy knows that, and doesn't want you to believe in the name. Nor does he want you to be baptized in that name, for the devil knows that in that name is the remission of sins by the blood of Jesus Christ.

You see before the foundation of the world the Lord knew he would need a lamb without blemish. (Revelation 13:8) And he created man in the image which he knew he would take on it order to redeem man. (Genesis 1:26-28) God created us in his image, the same image he would take on to redeem us. This plan was in the mind of God in the very beginning (John 1:1) and was manifested in Christ (John 1:14). So this is why God needed a body, but that body was flesh. And the spirit that dwelt in that body was God, all the fullness of the Godhead (notice it didn't say part of the godhead or one third of the godhead, it said all of the Godhead dwelt in him, Colossians 2:9)  Truly it was God in Christ as the Bible lets us know.

You see the Bible only preaches and teaches one God. Here are just a few more scriptures to let you know there is only one God, no explanation of the word needed:


James 2:19  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Jude 1:25  To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and evermore. Amen.
(If there is another God he is neither wise nor our Saviour, there is but one all knowing and saving God!)

John 10:30  I and my Father are one.

Ephesians 4:4  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Ephesians 4:5  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Ephesians 4:6  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Revelation 1:8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

1John 5:7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

1 Corinthians 12:13  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

There is only one God, and one saving name: That name is JESUS. This is why baptizing in the titles of the father, son, and holy ghost will not save anyone. It takes the name. And that name is JESUS! He said baptize in the name, and said remission was in that name, then opened their understanding. We must have understanding that the name is Jesus and we must be baptized in that name!

Priceless

Job 28:12  But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
Job 28:13  Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
Job 28:14  The depth saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me.
Job 28:15  It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.
Job 28:16  It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
Job 28:17  The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.
Job 28:18  No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
Job 28:19  The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.


Having the blessings of God in our lives is priceless.

Hearing well done thou good and faithful servant is priceless. 


Having all things working together for your good is priceless. 


The blood is priceless. 

The truth is priceless. 


Having a preacher that preaches truth is priceless.

Having God on your side is priceless. 

You can't put a price tag on eternal life!  



Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.  (Matthew 13:44)

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:  (Matthew 13:45)

Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.  (Matthew 13:46)

Whatever it cost, be willing to pay the price to please God! 

Matthew 19:27  Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 
Matthew 19:28  And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 
Matthew 19:29  And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. 
Matthew19:30  But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. 

That is priceless!!!!

No room for compromise

Mark11:27  And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
Mark 11:28  And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
Mark 11:29  And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Mark 11:30  The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
Mark 11:31  And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? 
Mark 11:32  But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. 
Mark 11:33  And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

They could not tell. They always seemed to be in a place of compromise.

WE MUST KNOW! And you can be assured that the word of God is not of man, but it was written by Holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Ghost!

We must know what truth is, we cant attempt to please men. We must please God! We cant compromise and always take the middle ground. We must know that what we believe is of God!

Epistle of Jude

The epistle of Jude contains so much, in such a compact book. With only one chapter this is one of the shortest books in the Bible, but it contains so many good things. Let's look at a few things that stick out to me tonight as I read the book of Jude:

-First Jude let's us know that there is one common salvation. 
There is no such thing as a Jew body of believers, and a Gentile body of believers. There is one body, and one way into the body. We must go through the door, we must be born again of water (Jesus name baptism) and spirit (Holy Ghost infilling).

-Then Jude writes that they must contend for the faith.
No matter what we must know that we must fight for the right, stand for truth.


-After which he gives us warning of corrupt teachers and false heresies.
He said that certain men had crept in unawares. We cannot allow the devil and his liars to creep into our lives without us taking heed. For these false teachers turned the grace of God into something it is not. Grace is not a license to sin, but rather God's influence on our heart to lead us in the right direction. His grace gave us opportunity, to hear the word and obey the word!

-Then he states there is coming a time that those that do not believe will be destroyed.  
These folks Jude talks of had already came out of Egypt, then they fell into unbelief. Lord help us not to come out of this world and sin, just to fall into unbelief.

-We don't want to be a wandering star, we don't want to be twice dead. 
That's why we must fight to the end, that's why he already told us to contend for if we don't we are in trouble.


-He lets us know that there are going to be mockers, and those walking sensually.
We must yet contend for the faith, by...

- Praying in the Holy Ghost, hence building up our selves. 
Prayer works, always has and always will. So does fasting, but we must build up our faith. The devil wants to destroy our faith, but we can be victors.

-Then we keep ourselves in the love of God
What a safe place to be, nothing can separate us from him. Only sin can separate us, and that's only if we allow it. But his love casts away all fear, and we know that a loving God is for us. So we know we have nothing to fear. Keep yourselves alive in him.

-And then we reach those that are outside the safety of Christ and pull them in. 
We pull them from the fire, whatever it takes! For we know such where we without the grace of God.

-And to do so we must hate even the garment spotted by the flesh. 
We hate must lies, we must abhor sin. We must love truth. Buy it and do not sell it for anything.

-Only one God and he is able to keep you! 
There is but one God, and he is our answer and our only hope. Our saviour.

Jude is such a great book. One chapter tells us what the church needs to hear today. Contend for the faith, and don't compromise for anything, that's how we will make a difference and see souls saved!

Love, Forgive, and Rejoice in Truth!

Luke 6:32  For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

1 John 4:11  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

It is easy to love those that love us. It is easy to forgive those that forgive us. But it seems to be a more difficult task to love those that count us as an enemy. Nevertheless, we must love others even when they do us wrong. Even when we are in the right, and they in the wrong. We must be willing to forgive, not only is the right thing to do, but it's what we must do in order to be forgiven ourselves.

Now don't get me wrong, love does not compromise what is right. But rather it rejoices in the truth. Never would I want God to hold me accountable for the wrongs I have put under the blood, so neither should I hold a grudge against others for how they have wronged me.

Our world today has the definition of love all mixed up. What is the Bible's definition of love?



1 Corinthians 13:4  Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity (love) envieth not; charity (love) vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1 Corinthians 13:5  Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1 Corinthians 13:6  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1 Corinthians 13:7  Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
1 Corinthians 13:8  Charity (love) never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Now the world today leaves at a great majority of this portion scripture in their perception of love, they tend to like the kindness and the total success of love. But tend to leave out the seeketh not her own, and rejoiceth not in iniquity. We do not love our family when we do not tell the truth, love is not to compromise truth just to make a relative feel better about him or her self. Love is to tell the truth even when it is not convenient.

But we must love at all times, even when we are not loved. It's our job! We must forgive at all times, even when others hold a grudge against us. We cannot change some people and their perception of us, but we can make sure we are in the right. And to be in the right, we must forgive and we must love.

Just think how much Christ loved us, let this mind be in you that was in him. The Bible says he esteemed others better than himself.


Mark 11:25  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mark 11:26  But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. 


Jesus went as far as to say for us to pray for our enemies and for us to do good to them that despitfully use us. Well there is nothing greater you can do for your enemy than pray for them, and try to show them truth. So do just that, it will be pleasing unto God. What would we be without him?

Looking Forward

Imagine driving down the interstate never looking forward, only looking the rear-view mirror....sounds crazy huh? That's a major accident looking to happen, a huge mess. Well that's just what happens spiritual when we look backward and take our eyes off of the highway, it makes a mess of us.


Php 3:12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Php 3:13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Sometimes going forward for God requires us to "press". Its not always easy to "press," but it will be well worth it. But in order to move forward we must get our eyes off if the rear view mirror and must focus on the direction we are going. The Psalmist wrote that "surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life", notice the word follow. God's goodness and mercy got us through yesterday's trial, test, and circumstance; so surely it can get us though tomorrow. So those things that are buried under the blood, those things that God's goodness and mercy got us through should be forgotten! In time past our goals may have been different, our attitude may have been sour, our outlook may have been bleak. But NOW is what matters most.


1Co 6:9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1Co 6:10  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
1Co 6:11  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.


Eph 2:1  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Eph 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph 2:3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

See yesterday is over, today is all that matters! If we get caught looking in the rear-view mirror, we will begin to condemn ourselves. If we get stuck in yesterday we will begin to lose our direction and our desire to move forward. You see...

 Rom 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 



This is why we should be so excited because where we are now, not concerned with where we have been. We shouldn't be proud of the sins we committed in times past, we shouldn't share them with the generation coming up. We should be excited about where God has brought us to, and every time we hear someone preach against the very sins we may have once been entrapped with we should get excited that someone is warning the next generation not to take the road we took. If we can no longer be condemned by the sins of yesterday, then why would we try to justify them? If God forgave us, lets forgive ourselves, and be the first to stand beside the preacher when he preaches against the sins that once controlled our lives. 

The Church preaches against: 
                                                Divorce
                                                Homosexuality 
                                                Fornication
                                                Murder
                                                Stealing
                                                Lying, and the list goes on and on

Some of these very things have been committed in times past, before Christ, in some people's lives that are now apart of the church. These things the church preaches against aren't preached against to condemn anyone or anybody, only to warn the generation to come and teach them how to be pleasing to God. Why would we that once committed some of these wrongs have any issue against them being preached against in the church?  Only when we look in the rear-view mirror! But if we would just accept that we are a new creature and accept that God doesn't condemn nor does his ministers, we would be the first to say, AMEN!!

1Pe 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 
1Pe 2:10  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 

See we show should forth praise to God for bringing us out, there's no greater way to show your thanks than through warning the generation to come not to take the same path. Sure it may take us swallowing our pride, but that's not hard when we don't look in the rear-view mirror and realize we are new creatures in Christ! 

Luke 9:62  And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. 

Let's move forward, looking forward! Because it's hard to drive looking in the rear-view mirror! 

Look Forward!! Forgetting those things behind! 

Heb 12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 
Heb 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Some thoughts for today!

Want to be saved? Then obey:

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 

You will be a believer when you obey! (Luke 13:3, John 3:3 and 5, John 7:37-39, Acts 5:32, Mark 16:16 believers are baptized, Romans 6:4, and Romans 8:9, 2 Corinthians 13:5) Just a few scriptures that let us know we must repent, be baptized in Jesus name, and Holy Ghost filled to be saved! Just be a good person doesn't save us, Read Acts 10 and 11! Praise God!



God's love! We should love like he loves! Dont love sin, love people! Sin detorys people, so abhor it!


Jeremiah 3:1 They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD...God is full of mercy and love, Love is long suffering...what a God! There will come a time of judgement, but God is not willing that any should perish..if we could emulate such love in our lives we would have many less problems....gives a even deeper meaning to Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
